I bought a Zipit for $35 or so from circuitcity. Is it incredibly stupid to spend $100 or so to buy an add-on board - installed, mind you, with soldering, case mods, etc, as well as software installation - that gives is a memory card and serial port? or should I just continue fighting with buildroot to compile my own software for it that'll fit in the onboard rom? Bear in mind, I spent a large portion of last week and this past weekend working on that, and while I did finally manage to compile software that ran, it couldn't connect to the network. And that I've thus far refrained from replacing the entire ramdisk image, as I have no way to recover the device if I brick it, apart from installing a serial port.

ok. Got the expiring domains moved to dynadot with one year extensions, except for martian.at, which dynadot can't handle, and which was renewed at godaddy. I also renewed martian.cx for another year (it had expired a couple months ago). I'll probably let it lapse in another year or two. Or, you know, not. Whatever. AUS$50 per year is a bit much, on top of the US$60/y I'm paying for .at tho. We'll see.

Also, for my own amusement, http://martian.at/domain-timeline
