More deployment stuff at work.
Trying to reinstall Mintaka at home.. It's a mac mini server with two hard drives, and I have to reinstall the OS to raid1 the drives. Kinda annoying. The first try failed, and wrecked my recovery partition in the process, so now I'm trying again with internet recovery. Which is a problem because of my shitty shitty comcast connection.
Because of my current NAT configuration, if the cable modem is up, all traffic goes out thru that. Including traffic to my own servers. So it goes out thru comcast and comes back in thru megapath. Which wouldn't be TOO bad, except for this:
Yeeeeah. /TWELVE SECONDS/ of ping latency. Awesome.
And there is no other option. Comcast has a monopoly on consumer-grade high-speed internet in the city of seattle. FIOS isn't allowed in the city. Frak.
