The new group is a noticeably different work environment. I scoped this project with my previous assumptions - that QA will generate and provide test cases based on whatever passes for the spec, that there's an engineer who understands our service and takes care of configuration and deployment - and they didn't hold. And now we're likely to slip for the second time, and my frustration level is growing, and I had an annoying conversation with my PM on the way out today - annoying both because he's right and because I don't think he should be. So, I'm processing that, while at the same time watching West Wing and reading someone's livejournal, front to back. My goal is to read the whole thing today. Dunno if I'll manage that.
