Some of you may remember when I used to do a weekly "Let's go out for drinks" thing on Fridays. Well, I'm not likely to do it weekly, but I may start doing it occasionally again. In the immediate term, I'm going to A Terrible Beauty in West Seattle this Friday. Call it 7ish. It's on California, at the south end of the Alaska Junction (California and Edmunds). Ping me if you expect to be there.

As an aside: I tried to bcc the post-by-email address when I sent this to the weekly-gtg and marty-interest lists, but it doesn't appear to have worked. That irks me. It shouldn't have to be in the To line. I can't embed my PIN in the to field when I'm also mailing another list, damnit!

Nov. 7th, 2004 12:10 amin other news, I've rediscovered the value of Bailey's in milk, strained over ice. Went thru several off them at finn's (at $5 a pop, ouch), and am now enjoying a large glass of it in my mjolnir mug.

I'm in this weird very-social mood today. I managed to get the largest crowd in months to go out to lunch on the south lawn today, then we got in some good frisbee time. It was great. I'm tired and sweaty, but that's ok.
I'm doing Finn's tonight. I was doing it anyway, but now I'm doing it to 'celebrate' my decision as to which team I want to join.
I'd love it if you (yes, you) could join. 'Cause the more the merrier and all that. Seriously, you should be there.

Thoughts on Finn's
Apr. 2nd, 2004 05:27 pmIt dawned on me this morning that the weekly Finn's gathering is what became of my idea for family dinner. Since those never really materialized, I started doing this instead. And even to this, turnout is rarely what I'd hoped it would be. It seems kinda pointless half the time.
