Do I really have to wait two months?
Jun. 20th, 2005 01:31 pmSo, today is my first day back at work after almost 3.5 weeks off. I didn't want to come back.
28 August is my 5th amazoniversary. People leaving after their initial stock grant vests completely is so traditional it's a joke. I decided, while I was out, that as of 28 August (actually 29 August, the following monday), I am starting a job search. I don't necessarily want to leave amazon, but I definitely need to see if there are any greener pastures out there anywhere.

So, today I am not a happy camper, really.

Marty, has me a little irked. I put the sign back up. If it becomes an issue, I'm currently considering a response of "I'll be happy to take /all/ of my signs down, if you like. Do you know where I can find a supply of moving boxes? I've got a lot of stuff to pack.". I've had that sign up on the wall behind me, wherever that wall may be, for at least three years. It's the single most important guiding principle of website design /ever/.
Jordan noticed your "The Customer is Always Stupid" sign and asked that we take it down.
I know it was meant in jest, but it is not the kind of message we want to send.
Hope you aren't offended. If you weren't out for weeks, I would have waited until Tuesday and asked you in person
Thanks,
Brian
