Yet another reason to leave Amazon: I would feel completely free to reply to comments left on plog posts and tell people EXACTLY HOW FUCKING STUPID THEY ARE.

Whine whine, we want RSS feeds. Yes, thank you, we've been WORKING on it. I'm sorry, but a convenience feature for you is a LITTLE LESS IMPORTANT than making the actual experience on the site not suck. I'm sorry to inform you, but we are, among other things, a retail company interested in bringing people to our site to view content and thence shop. Making it easier for you to AVOID coming to our site is NOT in our corporate best interests. Making people not want to leave the site once they're here is MUCH more important. So we'll do that FIRST, and THEN make your life easier. You want it faster? Find somebody who can get past our hiring bar and send them to work for us, we'd love to have more help. If you can't do that, sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.

RSS feed makes much more sense in wishlist land anyways, at least with our visitor patterns. Useless to wishlist owners, may entice visitors to come BACK to the site, and the particular RSSed wishlist, which they don't actually do all that often.

With plogs... you can't even look at someone else's plog, can you?

No, but they want RSS feeds for author blogs. that's what I'm launching tonight.
We're working on designing a way to get your plog via rss, but it's a ways off yet.

IE 7 makes RSS a LOT more simple and that will probably drive up demand.

Oh, hey, and when will you add that feature that tells me where the nearest store is that has that book/CD/thing? That would help me a lot too!
